The Dreys Sittingbourne Wedding Photographer
Becky and Alex's woodland wedding at The Dreys in Sittingbourne was one of those days where the venue does half the work for you. The Dreys is a proper forest wedding venue, tucked into the woods on the edge of Sittingbourne in Kent, with the ceremony, reception and evening all happening under the trees. It's a brilliant choice if you want something different from the usual barns and country houses, and it suits couples who are after a relaxed, outdoor feel without travelling far from the coast. I was booked for twelve hours, starting with bridal prep before moving into the woodland ceremony, confetti line, wedding breakfast, speeches, and a short portrait session among the trees as the light dropped. Everything ran at its own pace, which is exactly how these days photograph best.
Natural, documentary wedding photography at The Dreys, Sittingbourne
The Dreys is a venue that works perfectly with my approach. The forest setting gives you so much variety through the day without needing to plan anything heavy, and the light through the trees does most of the work for portraits. There's no need to pull the couple away from guests for long, and the woodland ceremony space, reception area and evening all flow into each other naturally. If you're planning your wedding at The Dreys and want a photographer who'll stay in the background and let you enjoy the day, I'd love to hear from you.
