East Quay Whitstable Wedding Photographer – Jaz & Ryan

Jaz and Ryan got married at The East Quay in Whitstable, a relaxed coastal wedding venue on the Kent seafront. The East Quay is one of the best spots on the Kent coast for couples who want a beach wedding with a modern, stripped-back feel, with open space, clean architecture, and the sea doing most of the work in the background. Jaz started the day getting ready with her six bridesmaids at an Airbnb just up the road. She and Ryan broke with tradition and saw each other before the ceremony, which set the tone for a chilled, low-fuss day. The ceremony was upstairs at East Quay with the sea in the distance and a breeze coming through the room. The wind made for an amazing confetti moment down on Whitstable Beach, guests had fish and chips for the wedding breakfast, and we finished up with portraits during golden hour before the Vibe Brass Band kicked the party off into the evening.

Natural, documentary wedding photography at The East Quay, Whitstable

The East Quay is a venue that works perfectly with my approach. The coastline, the open walkways and the beach give you so much variety for portraits without needing to plan anything heavy, and the sea light does most of the work through the day. There's no need to pull the couple away from guests for long, and the upstairs ceremony space, downstairs reception and the beach just outside all flow into each other naturally. If you're planning your wedding at The East Quay and want a photographer who'll stay in the background and let you enjoy the day, I'd love to hear from you. You can get in touch here or take a look at my pricing and packages.
