Hayne House is near Hythe, and it’s a good shout for couples who want everything in one place with a team that cares about the environment. It mixes an old house with a modern Orangery, and it works well whatever time of year you’re getting married.

Old house, modern Orangery

The historic house gives the day a bit of character, and the Orangery brings in loads of light. Up to 120 guests can sit down for the meal, which makes it a nice size: big enough for a proper party, but small enough that it never feels like a huge production.

A glass-fronted ceremony room

The ceremony space has a glass front, so even on a grey day there’s plenty of natural light coming in, which is ideal for the way I work. When the weather’s good, you can get married outside in the garden instead, with guests lining the aisle for confetti afterwards.

Weddings with a lighter footprint

Sustainability is a big deal here. The team offer eco-friendly options for everything from the food to the decorations, so it suits couples who’d rather keep the waste down. The events team are experienced and look after the details, which leaves you free to enjoy the day.

Everyone under one roof

There’s accommodation on site, so you and your guests can stay over without worrying about taxis. It also means the morning prep, the ceremony and the party are all in one place, which keeps the day relaxed.

The gardens and the stone steps

For portraits, we’ll head into the gardens for about 20 minutes as the sun starts to drop. There are some lovely old stone steps and plenty of greenery and flowers, and it’s all within a minute or two of your guests.
