A few favourites from Lorraine & Tom’s wedding in the woods at the beautiful Wilderness Weddings Venue in Preston, Kent. A typical British summers day mixed with sun, rain, wind and an unbelievable golden hour sunset over the green fields ❤️☀️ #kentweddingphotographer #prestoncourt #wildernessweddings

'The First Look' - easily the most anticipated and emotional part of the day. It goes by in a heartbeat but the moments you catch are absolutely priceless. Here are some of my favourite first look photos from summer 2019.

A bit about my wedding photography style...
Whilst photographing weddings I love to free roam throughout the day and capture the tiny little moments as they unfold, the bits that fly by in a second but you remember for a lifetime. The shots that have life and character and tell a story about the relationship and bond between those people within the photograph. I naturally detect when these moments are happening (or due to happen) and I get in and out and get the shot before anyone notices me.
Telling the story of the day photographically is about capturing moments unobtrusively in a way that nobody notices I’m there. It’s also about capturing the ‘little’ moments within the ‘big’ moments. Getting the big shots like the first kiss is always the priority of course but what about the other ’subtle’ moments that unfold whilst the big moments are happening? The look on Mum’s face as she see’s her daughter arrive at the alter? The look on the brides face as she is waiting to enter the ceremony? The nerves on the grooms face as the registrar announces everyone to stand for the arrival of the bride? Dad’s reaction to seeing his daughter for the first time in her dress? All of these moments (big & small) make up the story and character of the day and these are the bits I love to capture. I suppose you could also say i'm a wedding photographer for people that dont like to be photographed. I'll never get in your face with the camera, instead i'll quietly work behind the scenes in capturing your day for you.

I’m also now booking for all 2021 weddings so get in touch if you're looking for a Kent Wedding Photographer with a laid back and unobtrusive style.
Photo of the Week | 14th November 2019
My photo of the week comes from Gabby & Joe's autumn wedding at the stunning Eastwell Manor close to Ashford, Kent. The autumn colours on the day were just amazing all around the house and the gardens and before the heavens opened we grabbed some portrait shots around the grounds using the red foliage as an autumnal background.
Photo of the Week | 21st October 2019
I love this moment between Emma & Tom as the last of the summer sun drops below the tree’s and lights them up golden (taken at the Gardens at Yalding wedding venue in Kent)
Photo of the Week | Scott & Charlotte at the Old Kent Barn
Shot of the Week | 7th August 2019 | The Cherry Barn
My shot of the week this week is from Kirsty & Charlie’s wedding this past Saturday at the Cherry Barn in Peasmarsh.
Wedding Film Photography | Botany Bay | Hasselblad Xpan
You cant beat the look of film, thats for sure…but when you match it up with Botany Bay in Broadstairs as a back drop and a beautifully dressed couple it simply offers unrivalled photographic beauty. I took this shot last year using an old (1990’s) Hasselblad Xpan and a roll of Fuji Industrial 400. Keep an eye out on my website later this year as i’ll soon be offering vintage film photography as an option in all my wedding packages.

Photo of the Week | Kate & Sam at Quex Park, Birchington
This weeks ‘Photo of the Week’ is from Kate & Sam’s wedding last week at the beautiful Quex Park in Birchington, Kent. Just as the sun was going down we rushed over to the secret garden area and shot a few portrait photo’s. I love how the golden light makes the flower tips glow giving the shot a lovely summery feel :)

Photo of the Week | Annette & Jason at the Nightyard
My ‘Photo of the Week’ this week is from Annette & Jason’s wedding last Saturday at the Nightyard close to Canterbury. I absolutely loved shooting for these lovely two and their friends & family. The day was full of non stop energy and laughter and it was also my first time shooting at the Nightyard. A really great venue, full of green space, great food and professional & friendly staff.
