Claire & Alan's Winter East Quay Wedding, Whitstable

Claire & Alan got married at the East Quay wedding venue in Whitstable, Kent on a sunny and brisk Saturday in November. This rustic and characterful all-in-one wedding venue is set on a beautiful pebbled beach and is surrounded by colourful beach huts, surf boards, fishing boats and tons of oyster shells. As a photographer I found myself spoilt for choice with so many cool and quirky backdrops to add to the winter day scenes. Alan was dressed sharp in blue suit, set off with a red tie and buttons with brown shoes whilst the Claire looked stunning in her long white wedding dress and soft coloured bouquet. The ceremony took part on the top level of the venue with coastal views of the surrounding area before moving on downstairs to the celebratory champagne and oysters (I love the shots below of the guests devouring the oysters and their mixed reactions). Just as the light was falling outside Claire, Alan and I took a walk along the beach to get some portrait shots of them together before moving on to the group shots. By that time it was getting dark so everyone moved inside for some traditional British fish & chips and drinks and then my day ended by photographing the hilarious speeches and cake cutting. I had a great time covering Claire & Alans wedding day at one of my favourite specialist Kent wedding venues. Take a look below for a selection of some of my favourite photo's from the day.
